Jaulian is located in Haripur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa near the Punjab border and Taxila and dates back to centuries. It consists of a Buddhist stupa dating back to the Kushan era with a monastery and a university built on a hill 300 ft above the surrounding countryside.
